The wingtips do a nice job of holding the buds in place and they include three different bud sizes which should accomodate most people. Which brings me to my topic, if youre a casual listener and just use these headphones around the house and maybe for very light exercise then the stock earbuds are probably okay for you. However, without a proper seal, and these can sound downright mediocre. With a tight secure seal, the sound is rich, the bass is booming and you truly feel like you're wearing a $170 pair of headphones. The sound on the bluebuds can be amazing IF (and here's my major caveat) you have a proper seal on your ear. Especially when you arrange them in the X fit configuration, these headphones feel like you're wearing nothing at all and I don't think I could ever go back to a wired headset again. Like many, I agree the bluebuds are easily one of the best pair of bluetooth headphones you can buy. Prior to that I had used the Freedom 3's for about 6 months. I've been using a set of bluebuds X for about 6 months. Hey, I just wanted to add my 2 cents to this thread. Sometime I already have my earphones out and didn't have a chance to hear the acknowledgment. There is also a talking voice indicator that will tell you power off, etc. Perhaps a few times where I noticed battery not holding its charge for too long was because I didn't hold the button long enough for it to completely turn off, and rather it went into idle standby, thus battery got drained faster after awhile. But they also talk about a long stand by. With battery life, it does puzzles me because after you fully charge it up - it can easily work for a continuous 7-8 hours at mid volume setting (higher volume setting will reduce this time). Also, can go down to the basement where it starts cutting out due to stairwell/walls in between, but still works for at least 20ft away from the N2. Just based on me testing it in my house across open room space I can probably cover 20+ feet distance, if not more. With range it's no different than any other bt headphones I have tested. I have it captured in details in original pictures, check it out again - maybe you missed it. It uses regular micro-usb cable, included.
